I thought I’d write a quick note just to describe what kind of posts I hope to put on this blog.
I’m someone who loves music, but has no special musical knowledge or aptitude. I do tend to like really weird abstract music, but my hope is to make this blog the least pretentious blog about weird abstract music on the internet. As such I’ll do my best to avoid obscure references, and to give as much background and explanation as possible for those bands or trends that I mention that do happen to be obscure.
Basically I hope that this blog is a chill place where Naseem and I and hopefully others can share ideas about what we’re into, and connect with others at HKS who want to talk music. Anyone who has a suggestion for topics, or wants to get involved in any way, should email me at benjaminroyl@hotmail.com.
I also occasionally record music under the name Clickpen, and if anyone would like to check that out the link is here.And that’s it for me. Some of you may be wondering what kind of issues Naseem will be posting about. From what I understand, Naseem will be posting primarily about Huey Lewis and the News.
